Luo Qingyang

LUO QINGYANG is an experimental clothing project centered on hand-woven cotton rope garments.

Each piece is constructed through a slow process of knotting and weaving, where soft materials are transformed into structures that exist between clothing, body extension, and object. The works are not only garments but also carriers of emotion and memory — a way of preserving fleeting inner states through physical form.

The practice explores the tension between softness and structure, chaos and order, fragility and endurance. Personal experiences — grief, growth, and psychological landscapes — are often translated into knot structures and material arrangements.

Rather than following seasonal production or conventional fashion systems, the pieces are created individually and exist in small quantities. They function as adornments, sculptures for the body, and quiet records of lived experience.
