The world's first cultured Pearl with a colored stone Nucleus, the Galatea Pearl was patented, cultured, & designed by Chi Huynh. The "culturing" process involves placing a piece of turquoise into the mouth of a clam, and allowing it to remain there for 2+ years until a pearl formed around it. This is how the artist was able to later carve this beautiful tear drop design.
